What is the Lifeguard Preparation Class?
The Lifeguard Preparation Class is a pre-certification course that helps students build the swimming, rescue, and first aid skills needed to succeed in official lifeguard certification training.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to join?
Basic swimming ability is recommended. However, we help you improve your endurance, stroke techniques, and comfort in the water throughout the course.
How long is the preparation class?
The class typically runs for 1–3 days, depending on the location and schedule selected. We offer both full-day and half-day formats.
What age do I need to be to enroll?
Participants must be at least 15 years old to join the Lifeguard Preparation Class. Some exceptions may apply for camp groups or school partnerships.
Will I be certified after completing this class?
No. This is a non-certification prep course. It prepares you to succeed in the full Lifeguard Certification Course, which we also offer.
What should I bring to the class?
