Wilderness First Aid

Lifeguarding and Water Safety

At Upstate Aquatics, we believe that safety doesn’t stop at the shoreline or poolside. In the wilderness, where professional medical help is often hours away, preparedness can make the ultimate difference. Our Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed for hikers, outdoor guides, camp staff, scouts, first responders, and anyone venturing beyond urban reach.

Why Wilderness First Aid Matters

Nature doesn’t wait for the perfect moment to throw challenges your way. From sprained ankles on rocky trails to allergic reactions, hypothermia, or even cardiac arrest far from help, wilderness environments demand specialized first aid training.

Our course bridges the gap between urban emergency response and remote survival-based care, empowering individuals to respond to medical emergencies confidently, calmly, and effectively until professional help becomes available.
